ATLAS IJCLAB local wiki¶
Welcome to the ATLAS IJCLAB group page.
This contains very basic information for the group members, our public page is here
General informations¶
Newcomers¶
The general lab-wide newcomer page is here but since it requires a login, the internship / thesis director most of time will the needs to send the documents.
In view of a new intership / thesis / invited visitor, the permanent member of the group will have to follow the corresponding procedure found on the intranet > Ressources Humaines pages

- CROUS Paris-Saclay gives access to students to the local "Cite Universitaire" which are the cheapest. All communication in french. They require proof of registration at Universite Paris Saclay or Convention de Stage.
- Sciences-Accueil Paris Saclay provides housing opportunities for visiting scientists, students master and doctorate level. Other services likelocal tips, french courses etc...
- Heberjeunes connects students to rental owners
Procedures¶
CERN registration:
- A simple user (remote computing access) without going to CERN link
- Need to go to CERN working for ATLAS link
- Please do not send any files to the ATLAS secretariat but upload to this CERNBox then inform them by sending a mail to atlas.Secretariat at cern.ch
- If you change lab or your registration expires, you will have to fill a Home Institute Declaration from the User's Office and send with zammad to IJCLAB Human Resources for the lab director signature.
Interact with Human Resources (RH) or budget requests though zammad
For travel our assistant is Sylvie Teulet, see TravelInfo for details
For ordering our assistant is Delphine Le Bacquer
Computing informations¶
Grid certificates can be obtained fron CERN CA but the CNRS certificate obtained from SEMAME also works for the grid and is useful to access sites that require CNRS authentication.
eduroam can be accessed with the Paris-Saclay account, with your IJCLAB account or your CERN account. Eduroam is accessible in most of the IJCLAB buildings, however the signal strength varies a lot from one ATLAS office to the other.
Connecting a personal computed to ethernet is not allowed for the lab network. If needed, the wall plug can be rerouted to the network serving the wifi that is university owned and allows connection from personal devices.
