DAQ in GANIL¶

DAQ network for AGATA is used in 3 locations:

• room 19 (preprocessing and DAQ room)
  • Network backbone
  • Computing farm
  • ATCA crates
  • GTS crates
• AGATA users room
  • GANIL network racks
  • Visu machines
• G1 (experimental hall)
  • Network to control digitizers

Backbone (HP switch)¶

_ID	_Name	_Definition
1	Default	Default port. Used if not in an other VLAN.
2	Dataflow	Ports dedicated to dataflow. Must be used only by narval !
10	SC1	Ports dedicated to control the electronic of the "second virtual detector".
11	SC2	Ports dedicated to control the electronic of the "second virtual detector".

General Cabling¶

A1 -> A20 : services for anode01 to anode20
C1 -> C20 : services for anode21 to anode40

B1 -> B20 : dataflow for anode01 to anode20
D1 -> D20 : dataflow for anode21 to anode40

Take care : anode27 = anode master !

Preprocessing switches¶

Smaller port number is connected to the first card of the corresponding ATCA crate, larger port number is connected to the last card of the corresponding ATCA crate.

Interface with GANIL¶

Cable labelled :

• DMZ is used to connect AGATA gateway to the DMZ network of GANIL
• digiG1 are used to connect SC network to the digitizer through the switch racks in the AGATA users room.
• phys is used to connect AGATA service network to the switch in the AGATA users room (and to provide access to the DAQ box from this room)
