h1. Coordination of GRANDMA's next publication (pro teams) - Kilonova catcher

h2. Schedule

The deadline is 21st of September.

h2. Objectives of the campaign

  • to test the generic pipeline of Sergey in all GRANDMA telescopes
  • to intercalibrate the telescopes of GRANDMA and intercalibrate with ZTF
  • to train on FINK alerts with GRANDMA
  • to establish score of KN and improve our fits with multiple data
  • to heart beat at unison and have a reference article for the follow-up of transients all together

h2. Steps to be followed

  1. Ensure you have the access to the owncloud: https://grandma-owncloud.lal.in2p3.fr/index.php/apps/files/?dir=/KN-Catcher-ReadyforO4&fileid=156956
If not, please register on https://registration.lal.in2p3.fr/ (with project GRANDMA) and Sarah Antier to add into the owncloud

  2. Register on #fink-kilonova and #fink-kilonova_discussion channels in the slack of GRANDMA

  3. Monitor the observations of the sources (list of candidates bellow). Please take images in two filters (if possible), the most bluer and redder ones.

  4. Once data are taken upload you images to the adequate repositories on https://grandma-owncloud.lal.in2p3.fr/index.php/apps/files/?dir=/KN-Catcher-ReadyforO4.
    Please follow the format:

+ZTF21xxxx_GRANDMAteles_surname_YYYY-MM-DDThh-mm-ss_filtername(_stack).fits+, where ZTF21xxxx is the ID of the ZTF alert, YYYY-MM-DDThh-mm-ss is the starting date of your image and GRANDMAteles is the name of your the telescope

  5. Assign someone from your team to run the Sergey STDpipe jupyter notebook: https://nbviewer.jupyter.org/github/karpov-sv/stdpipe/blob/master/notebooks/stdpipe_tutorial.ipynb
A tutorial of the pipeline is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YceuAjLthj0&feature=youtu.be
If you have any questions or suggestions improvements, please refer to Sergey.
Note: it is important that the teams run Sergey's pipeline independently while he processes the data (in the uploaded images himself).

  6. Provide to Iara the photometric results of STDpipe and as well you own results with the pipeline you usually use.

Please note that your major point of contact is Iara Tosta e Melo
