- Moon analysis (Alexandre):
- new filtering method to avoid filter ringing
- have to understand missalignment of order 0 and 1 peaks (maybe projection effect)
- see TES 95 or 96 to check for missalignment
- Calibration files / synthesized beam model (Jean-Christophe):
- theoretical positions are good
- the current calfiles don't make sense
- the method to make the files is mastered: the good files should be produced in the upcoming days
- Instrument (Steve):
- problem with cryogenics, purge of cold heads might solve it
- range of 25 degrees in azimuth with the telescope, could scan the Moon (168 to 193 degrees)
- azimuth scanning speed is 0.22 degrees / second
- elevation of the line of sight from 50 to 70
- we need the scanning strategy: at what time and where to start, what to do after that
- Scanning strategy (Sofia, Ismail):
- there is a file from Sofia for each month with the right time to observe by taking into account airmass, Sun, Moon
- we would start observing when the Moon is 15-20 degrees under the minimum elevation of the telescope (so far 50 degrees) until the Moon is 15-20 degrees above the maximum elevation (70 degrees)
- give Steve a file with scanning strategy for the Moon
- the telescope hase to be centered at an azimuth of 110 degrees
- Scanning strategy (Dorian):
- worked on Sofia and Ismail's codes
- Ismail provided ideas: play with coordinate systems because Sofia's code is in azimuth elevation and Ismail's code is in RA dec
- work on the strategy for the Moon with Sofia and Ismail
- create visual representation of scanning strategy
- Atmosphere (Engène):
- problems with libraries, should be fixed now
- optimise some parts of the code
- in time make the atmosphere simulation 3D
- QubicSoft (Tom):
- lots of changes on the master branch
- issue with residual maps, might be related with convolutions
- rewrote the script for fitting the mixing matrix: need a preconditioner to check the new version
- Atmosphere (Tom):
- fixed the intensity map of the CMB for Planck and the polarisation of the atmosphere to zero: helps a lot, residuals 4 times lower and no stripes anymore (but needed to reduce amplitude of atmosphere fluctuations so that the PCG spends less time on atmosphere only)
- the trick was to flatten everything and use a mask and a PackOperator in the PCG
- Machine Learning (Leonora):
- working on propagating errors
- updated branch to master branch status
- will then work on preconditioner
- Expected program of Sabrina's stay (until the 27th of June):
- learn how to operate the mount
- learn how to read data from the instrument
- work on the GPS data
- think about what would be interesting to put in the data base to identify/classify easily data (the data base itself might be made by the Argentina team)
