Dear All,
GOCDB is planning to change the allowed format of the CONTACT_EMAIL field present in the get_site query. We plan to allow the entry of multiple comma and semicolon separated e-mail addresses e.g. <CONTACT_EMAIL>john.casson@stfc.ac.uk;gocdb-discuss@mailtalk.ac.uk</CONTACT_EMAIL>. This field is shown in the web portal as “E-Mail” when viewing a site. We’ve been asked to add this feature to allow multiple e-mail addresses to be notified when a GGUS ticket is raised with the “Notify SITE” option set.
If this change will cause a problem with a tool reading from GOCDB then please contact us as soon as possible to discuss the issue.
If there are no issues reported, we will start work on this feature on Wednesday 2nd May.
