Redmine G4IDS - Task #5538 (New): [Config 2009-2012] MiniBall Efficiencyhttps://forge.in2p3.fr/issues/55382013-11-20T14:35:05ZSotty Christophe

Context
Comparing the experimental to the simulated efficiencies, a large factor is observed.
The simulated efficiencies are around a factor two bigger than for the experiment.

By using the same g4miniball code as basis than Martin Venheart used, we obtain the same factor of over-estimation of the photopeak efficiencies than him. Only the g4miniball part was the same, the production of the photopeak efficiency curves were absolutly decorrelated.

By using the same g4miniball code as basis than Martin Venheart used, the MiniBall Coulex efficiencies for larger distance are more or less reproduced (the incertitude comes from the unknow exact distance etween the target and the front face of the MiniBall clusters).

Simultion of the photopeak efficiencies with another code containing the MB geometry
Nigel Warr wrote a simple code including the MB cluster geometry. We envisaged to use it to reproduce the ODS setup and extract photopeak efficiencies.
Afterward, comparison between both results would remove the sprouds on the validity or not of the "g4miniball" photopeak efficiencies.
G4IDS - Task #5537 (New): [Config 2009-2012] Estimated position of the implantation pointhttps://forge.in2p3.fr/issues/55372013-11-20T14:21:04ZSotty Christophe

An estimation of the source position offset(on the z-ais) respect to the beta detector is requested in order to quantify the beam alignment. The extracted value could be compared to the collimator sie and the tape size. Does the extracted value make sense?

- How to extract the estimated offset?
Experimentally the efficiencies of the left and right detectors are found to be different. This assymetry could be explain by a assymetry of the imp. point-plastic distances.
By moving the source on the z-axis we will try to reproduce the individual experimental efficiencies, and more precisely their ratios for all the combinations.

In order to bring some reproduction accuracy, a 2D random generator for the position will be created.

The estimated profile in respective perpendicular plans to the beam axis should be Gaussian.
G4IDS - Task #5535 (New): [Config 2009-2012] Beta-"gamma (induced)" coincidenceshttps://forge.in2p3.fr/issues/55352013-11-20T13:56:48ZSotty Christophe

Produce effciency curves of beta-"gamma induced" for all the combinations of plastic-core.
This work has already been performed at the Stepping Action phase.

In order to confirm that the new implementation of the HitCollectors, HistoManagr, EventAction, SensitiveDetector, DetectorConstruction and the core of g4miniball codes are correct, we would like to reproduce the beta-"gamma induced" spectra from the root files.
DCOD - Feature #5503 (New): test ada 2012 in ./configurehttps://forge.in2p3.fr/issues/55032013-11-13T16:54:14ZDosme Nicolas

Julia is a high-level, high-performance dynamic programming language for technical computing, with syntax that is familiar to users of other technical computing environments. It provides a sophisticated compiler, distributed parallel execution, numerical accuracy, and an extensive mathematical function library. The library, largely written in Julia itself, also integrates mature, best-of-breed C and Fortran libraries for linear algebra, random number generation, signal processing, and string processing. In addition, the Julia developer community is contributing a number of external packages through Julia’s built-in package manager at a rapid pace. IJulia, a collaboration between the IPython and Julia communities, provides a powerful browser-based graphical notebook interface to Julia.
RENOIR chat - Task #5200 (New): Topcat version 4https://forge.in2p3.fr/issues/52002013-10-03T01:09:29ZZoubian Julienzoubian@cppm.in2p3.fr

/opt/daq-MCH/LC2/scripts/bootCrt23.x

calls

bootFrtCrtDsp.x

which in turn calls

rorc_rst.x

The return code of
bootCrt23.x
combines the return codes of the 2 invocations of
bootFrtCrtDsp.x

in a relevant way. This would allow to propagate a much finer level of details.

The
rorc_reset.x
script no only resets but also checks the SIU, DIU and RORC.
It turns out that

only the last command's return code decides the return code of the whole script

even this return code is not significant of the error status of the Whole DDL chain
We can report a much finer level of details.

In the same way,
bootFrtCrtDsp.x
might report two levels of error:

one for the FeC2 core command, as is the case, and with the known limitations of this report

a new one for the
rorc_reset.x
that would help shifters to catch anomalous SIU status from start

A better documentation of basic command's return code is needed.
Pipelet - Bug #1566 (New): Bug daemon cherrypy on Macintoshhttps://forge.in2p3.fr/issues/15662011-04-15T17:53:52ZLe Jeune Maudelejeune@apc.in2p3.fr
